Is the Scott Smalley Art of Orchestration course for beginners?

It is not a beginner's course, and a significant level of knowledge about instrumentation and basic orchestration is expected. Also, you should be able to read music in order to get the most out of this course.

The course deals with advanced concepts used by master film composers like Goldsmith, Williams, Silvestri and others in feature films, which are illustrated by breaking these concepts down into melodic and harmonic components and explaining how they work.
