Why hasn't my track been listened to yet?

First, it's best to double check that your listened-to email was not diverted to your spam or junk mail folder.

If that's not the case, there can be a number of reasons why the review process for jobs can take longer than expected. Typically the review process for Film Music Network jobs using SubmitDIRECT takes from 30 to 90 days after the close of the job submission period. Reviews are done by the job poster, so it is their schedule that determines when music is listened to.

In some cases, personnel changes or production schedule changes can delay the music review process - this is the most common reason why reviews can be delayed.

One of the things we do to try and gently move the review process along is to keep in touch with job posters during the review period to see if we can be of any assistance to them in terms of being able to login to their review area and use the SubmitDIRECT reviewer interface. The SubmitDIRECT system also sends "nag" emails weekly to job posters if there are any unlistened-to tracks waiting to be reviewed for a job listing.
